Andrew Schmitt (1870-04-06 to 1956-12-12) was a stone mason. He laid the bricks for the second gazebo in the Huntley Town Square Park in 1910. He also set the rock for the WWI soldiers memorial and the base of the mine thrower, both in the town square. He was married to Rose Kreutzer in 1904. He is buried in St. Mary Cemetery in Huntley.
