This image is of the Yomeimon or Great Gate which stands at the third terrace of the Ieyasu Mausoleum, one of the most elaborate structures at Nikko standing 24 feet high 22 feet long and 15 feet deep. The gate, made of heavily lacquered wood and polished metals, was redecorated in 1911. The figures of Sadaijin and Udaijin flank the entrance.
