R. F. Newcomb. Portrait. Richard F. Newcomb (1837-1904) came to Quincy after the great Chicago fire of 1871 destroyed his Northwest Paper Company wholesale house. He boutht out the Quincy Paper Mill at Front and Jefferson, and erected a large strawboard works next to it. B/w, 5 1/4" x 7 1/4".
