Tableau 43 in atlas: Illustrations to Maximilian, Prince of Wied's Travels in the interior of North America. Encampment of the Peikann or Blackfeet Indians. Documentation of the daily activities of this gathering of people. In 1836 Maximilian commissioned Bodmer to create illustrations to accompany the text of his atlas documenting their travels. These illustrations include 81 plates of aquatints.
