This photo was taken on April 29, 2002. This home was built in 1871 by Charles Geils. At the time of the Chicago Fire, Mr. Geils offered his home as a temporary shelter for refugees. Mr. Geils was a dealer of grain, flour and lumber. In 1963, is was the office of Dr. Harrie Hall. This item is part of the collection of the Arlington Heights Historical Society (http://www.ahmuseum.org).
