- Description
The government purchased the Puterbaugh building in 1885, removed it and constructed this building in 1889. It served as the U.S. Court, Post Office and other agencies until 1937. It was located at 530 Main Street on the corner with Monroe. This building was built in 1938. This is the current location of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
