Percussion musket engraved with "1864" and "U.S./ SPRINGFIELD". Eagle engraved into metal.; The round, rifle barrel, three stock bands, tip, two swivel strap hooks, large trigger guard, lock plate, hammer, butt plate are made of polished steel including the ram rod. It has a double rear leaf sight. Impressed on the lock plate "1864/Spread eagle/U.S./Springfield" on top of barrel at rear is "1864". The stock is made of medium stained walnut. ...
