The jacket from one of the uniforms Paul Holste wore during World War I. Holste, a native of Mount Prospect, was a member of the First Infantry Division (Big Red 1). He enlisted on October 5, 1917 and was released on September 27, 1919. Holste also was the founder of the Mount Prospect VFW Post 1337 which was established in 1925.
