Huntley native Margaret Donahue (1892-1978) began working for the Chicago Cubs in 1919. In 1926 she was made secretary with the club. She was the first woman corporate officer in major league baseball. She had been involved in the sale of tickets, paying the visiting teams, and checking cash against the turnstile counts. She became vice president in 1950 and retired in 1958.
