President of the Polish National Alliance Al Majewski, Alderman Roman Pucinski, and Congressman Frank Annunzio (middle) pose with booklets about the Katyn Forest Massacre, in which approximately 22,000 Poles, including thousands of servicemen were killed in 1940. The Soviets denied the massacre until a public admission by Gorbachev in 1989. Photo taken in 1988.
