Photograph of an unpaved Oakton Street in Niles Center, Illinois in 1926. Photograph is labeled: "Oakton St. Looking East From L Extension Right Of Way." The elevated railway on Oakton Street at this time was the North Shore Line. The Skokie Swift service began on this line in April 1964. This photograph is part of the collection of the Skokie Historical Society.
