Copy of statement from Colonel Charles M. Lum of the 10th Michigan Infantry. Signed in Wayne County, Michigan on July 17, 1888. Lum attested to Captain Noah Hart's sunstroke at the Battle of Peach Tree Creek on July 20, 1864. Hart lost the use of his right arm after the battle. Hart later suffered greater paralysis and became unable to work, and requested an increase in his military pension. Handwritten notes by Hart's descendant at side.
