This facility at Church and Mill streets had been the Cornell Brothers Milk Factory from 1907 until about 1915. The Jelke Milk Company took over the building about 1915 and the second tower was built at that time. The tower was made of layers of brick and was used to carry away steam created by work at the dairy.
