Black and white postcard showing Pico de Orizaba, also known as Citlaltépetl, a stratovolcano. It is the highest mountain in Mexico and the third highest in North America, rising 18,491 feet above sea level between the states of Veracruz and Puebla. Dormant but not extinct, it last erupted during the 19th century. It is the second most prominent volcanic peak in the world after Africa's Mount Kilimanjaro.
