Tableau 22 in atlas: Illustrations to Maximilian, Prince of Wied's Travels in the interior of North America. A copy of a drawing done by Mandan chief Mato-Tope depicting an insident in his life with a Cheyenne chief. Mato-Tope is on the left with a tomahawk in his hand and is substaining an injury before he conquires the Cheyenne chief.
