Basket: handmade, splint basket, plaited with 1/4 inch strips over wider strips (about 1 inch), bottom is all wider strips, two rows of wide splints above waist are dyed green and red and have splint curls that are woven from green stripe out and down into red stripe, U shaped handle, each side is wrapped around baskets top rim at each side, no nails in construction.
