Caption on back of card continues: This is the third courthouse built in Pontiac. The first, 22 x 30 ft. cost about $3,000 and was completed in 1841. It burned and the second was built in 1856 and cost $30,000. It burned July 4, 1874. The present one was then built and cost $67,000. It has been re-furbished and modernized in recent years.
