42nd Street, showing Bryant Park and Public Library (N.Y.). On Back: Looking East on 42nd Street. One of New York's busiest thoroughfares and center of retail trade. Bryant Park, the site of the Crystal Palace was named in memory of William Cullen Bryant, whose statue stands under a small dome in the rear of the library.
