Caption on back of card: Attractive, inviting two-acre City Square Park dominates downtown Woodstock, Illinois. Park was laid out as part of the city in 1844 and was the site of the first county courthouse. In 1855 residents purchased property where present courthouse is located (red brick building in background) and McHenry County turned over square property to the city.
