Republic of Mexico Pin belonging to Dr. A. Louise Klehm. The round silver pin, whose form appears to have been punched out of an old coin, (see backside and ridged edging), has the following text, "Republica Mexicana, 1889". The image on the pin is similar to that which is on the Mexican Flag: there is an eagle holding a snake in its beak and a piece of cactus in its talons. Beneath the eagle is a large leafy branch.
