Caption on back of card: Fort Massac State Park, Metropolis, Ill. Occupied by French in 1756 and was named Fort Massiac. Statue of Gen. George Rogers Clark, looking across Ohio River into Kentucky. Gen. Clark and his 'Long Knives' occupied this Fort in 1778, on his way to capture Fort Kaskaskia.
