Pages of notes taken by Knox College Professor of Sociology, J. Howell Atwood from interviews with John Bell and J.J. Brown. These notes are about Negro schools in Galesburg, Illinois during the late 19th and early part of the 20th century. Atwood conducted extensive research from 1930-1960 about the Galesburg African American community.
