Three letters (one in French), 1823-1826, from Farnham to Samuel Abbott and O.N. Bostwick, both American Fur Company agents in St. Louis, regarding trade with the Iowa, Sauk, and Fox Indians. Letters discuss the disruption of trade with the Iowa by hostile Sioux (1823); trade with the Sauk and Iowa along the Grand and Missouri Rivers (1824); and the need of trade goods and progress of trade on the Mississippi (1826).
