"Originally published under the title "Lucy Temple; or, The Three Orphans." It also appeared under the title "Charlotte's Daughter; or, The three Orphans." Inferior to its predecessor in plot and interest. It first appeared in 1828, after Mrs. Rowson's death."--Johannsen, A.
