The house was built about 1880. In 1925, a barn was built on the property and chickens and rabbits were raised. They also had a smokehouse. The Bodor family who lived in the house came from Croatia after World War I. When they arrived in New York from Croatia, they had to stay in New York for two weeks because the oldest child had measles.
