- Description
John Wood Mansion built in 1869 at a cost of $200- $250,000. Sold December 1, 1875 to the Methodists for $40,000 and became Johnson College. Name changed to Chaddock College in 1876 after Charles C. Chaddock gave $24,000 to college. Purchased in 1919 by St. Peter's Church for $15,000, then renamed Kerr Hall, used for school and social purposes. Demolished in 1951. Present [2014] site of the Union Methodist Church. Exterior BW 6 1/4" x 8"
