"See Niles' 'Register' Vol.6., P.115, Gen.orders telling what military buttons like--Mar. 17, 1814. Buttons from Peterson Place--Ben F. Petersen Collection." These buttons were found by Ben F. Peterson in a Native American gravesite he unearthed while digging on his property.
