Letter from Captain Noah Hart of the 10th Michigan Infantry to his wife Emily. Dated May 2, 1862. Noah expressed his disappointment at not having had the opportunity to accompany his regiment while they advanced from their camp near the Tennessee-Mississippi border against the enemy. He wrote about the regiment's success, despite having come across a bridge that had been burnt to prevent their passage.
