Skokie Fire Department Chief Gold Pin worn by Ed Steek. Retired Chiefs wear gold badges. The pin is a cluster of five trumpets. The number of trumpets on a badge or pin vary depending on the rank of the firefighter. One trumpet is for lieutenant, two for captain, and three to five for assistant chief and chief.
