Missionären (The Missionary) was the name of the first official organ of the Mission Covenant. It was started at North Park College by Professors David Nyvall and Axel Mellander, the first issue being published in December, 1894. The enterprise was launched privately by the men at the school, but at the next annual meeting of the Mission Covenant, in June, 1895, the paper was adopted as the official organ of the denomination.
