- Description
This is a black and white photograph taken in June 1926 for the Eucharistic Congress. Thousands of people gather around the street as the cardinals pass in the opening parade for the Eucharistic Congress. The parade is all that is able to move in the streets because people and cars have congested everything else. American and Papal flags hang from the electrical wire. Buildings of Chicago line the streets giving a true downtown feel.
