A Bloomington, Illinois Pantagraph newspaper article on May 24, 1959 tells of two workers at WJBC, one of whom was Jack Jenkins of Towanda, Illinois, who together with Ted Bailey, created a new device that would put tapes from reels into a cartridge. Moulic Specialties Co. was turning out the units.
