This is a picture of Joseph Naper who came from Ashtabula Co. OH in February of 1831. He was the founder of the town of Naperville, IL. He built a cabin and trading post on his arrival and in June of the same year, his family arrived in company with John Naper, John Murray, Lyman Butterfield, Harry Wilson, Mr. Carpenter.
