- Description
Maxwell street, showing the people living in Maxworks, 717 W. Maxwell Street. They are the last ones left before the area is taken over by the University of Illinois at Chicago. The long-running Sunday Maxwell St. Market was moved a few years ago to Canal Street. The final step for UIC is moving out the remaining residents and razing the buildings to make way for the university's south campus expansion.
Wes, the owner of the Maxworks, also lived there.
