- Description
A newspaper article from around 1905 describes the "sweet pea" shower given for Bertha Falkingham's upcoming marriage to Jesse Roseman, both Towanda residents. One of the gifts had been a 1834 wedding present to the great-grandmother of the bride-to-be. The hostess for the shower was Madge M. Sachs and the flower was the theme for the refreshments and games.
