Color postcard. Front of card oriented vertically. Local stonemason Alexander Briggs of the Charleston Monument Company was commissioned to produce this 34-foot granite memorial. The view from 6th St. toward the north side of the square includes several businesses on Monroe Ave., suggesting a date circa 1912, the year of the monument�s dedication.
